Bluff Cove Beach offers many exciting activities including beachcombing, tide-pooling, snorkeling, surfing, kite-surfing, skimming-boarding, body-boarding, boogie-boarding, hiking, paddle-boarding, wildlife watching, swimming, snorkeling, diving, boating, kayaking, canoeing, and fishing. The beach has three major surf spots offering different kinds of waves. However, one of the surf spots known as Middles offers great surfing waves throughout the year. We recommend being careful when going in the water as the water here can have dangerous rip currents. The beach is popular among divers and snorkelers who often explore the reefs and aquatic rock formations around Bluff Cove Beach. The water near the beach is home to seals, sea lions, and migrating whales. Bluff Cove Beach is a popular spot for fishing - sea bass and Eastern Pacific bonito are some of the popular catches here. If you like to hike, the hiking trail carved on the bluff side along the beach offers a challenging hike along with a nice view of the Pacific Ocean. To the north of the beach is the Flat Rock Point which offers amazing rock formations and tidepools. Getting there might be a challenge as the hike to the north of the beach is very steep.
