Overview
Located in the city of Oxnard, Ormond Beach is a one-mile long, wide, and remote beach that is a part of the Ormond Beach Wetlands Area. Ormond Beach is situated in front of a closed old smelter and a power generation plant between the city of Port Hueneme and the Naval Base County at Point Mugu. Ormond Beach is a popular destination for birdwatching and beachcombing.

Parking
There are two ways to access Ormond Beach; one is parking near 6859 Arnold Road and walking a few minutes south to the beach – and the other is walking one mile east from the end of Ocean View Drive to the beach. In addition to this, you can also use the free parking lot at the end of Perkins Road, but it only provides access to a small island in the wetlands and not to the beach.

If you are looking for attractions near Ormond Beach, you can drive 25 minutes to Wishtoyo Chumash Village, an authentic re-creation of a working Native American village where visitors can see canoes, tools, handicrafts, ceremonies, celebrations, and replicas of Chumash homes. Malibu Riding & Tennis Club is a 100-acre beachfront club featuring tennis courts, horse barns, dirt and paved roads, a nightclub, a restaurant, a pool, and a campground. If you like hiking, Solstice Canyon offers a six-mile-long trail that dates back to 1865 with incredible views of the Santa Monica Mountains, Pacific Ocean, a waterfall, and a stone cottage. Also known as the "Taj Mahal of Tile," Adamson House Museum explores the history of the city of Malibu. Another great attraction near Ormond Beach is the iconic Malibu Pier, a historical tourist attraction site that’s famous for its dual white towers, rough-hewn planks, two restaurants, five stores, and an observation deck where you can fish and look for dolphins.

Sabor A Malibu, which means Taste of Malibu, features street-food items of many cuisines, including Mexican, American, European, and Albanian. The local Italian restaurant D'amores Pizza serves salads, subs, pasta, pizza, desserts, and beverages. Another good restaurant near Ormond Beach is Kristy's Malibu, an American seaside eatery featuring seafood and outdoor patio seating.
