Located in the city of Oxnard, Channel View Park Beach is a half-mile long and wide beach that is a part of a park named Channel View Park. Channel View Park Beach is situated on the north and south side of the entrance to Channel Islands Harbor and Hollywood Beach respectively. Channel View Park Beach is a great and very safe swimming spot as there is a breakwater in front of the harbor entrance that protects it from the big ocean waves. Channel View Park Beach welcomes dogs on-leash before 9 am and after 5 pm.

Another great attraction near Channel View Park Beach is Paramount Ranch, a national park with several hiking trails through chaparral, riparian, and valley oak savannah plant communities, multi-use trails for mountain bikers, and wildlife sightings that include red-tailed hawks, acorn woodpeckers, blue heron, and deer. Paramount Ranch has been featured as an old western town in many famed Hollywood movies and television series, most notably Caught in the Draft, The Lake House, and Westworld.
