Shell Beach is located along the Sonoma Coast in Sonoma County, about 110 miles north of San Francisco. Known for its spectacular views, tidepools, and rock formations, Shell Beach is adjacent to the better-known Wrights Beach. Apple selected this historic California beach as the backdrop to highlight the Apple Watch Ultra's 100-meter water resistance rating and depth gauge feature. The keynote was filmed atop the nearby Peaked Hill, which offers panoramic coastal views. Massive rock outcroppings like Mammoth Rock dot the seaside landscape, which is home to hiking paths like the Kortum Trail connecting Jenner and Shell Beach.
