Located in the town of Inverness, Long Cove Beach is a half-mile-long boat-in beach campground on the shores of Tomales Bay.  Long Cove Beach is situated in a very long cove and is a part of Point Reyes National Seashore.  Long Cove Beach welcomes dogs if brought in by boat and offers a boat-in campground. Please note that the campground does not provide drinking water and you need to carry all human waste out of it. 

There are a couple of fun activities at Long Cove Beach including boating and kayaking. Getting to Long Point Beach is easy – the beach is on the north side of the intersection between Pierce Point Road and Sacramento Landing Road. You can rent a boat or kayak from Nick’s Cove, Marshall Beach, and Lawson’s Landing Beach to reach Long Cove Beach.

If you are looking for nearby attractions, there are many options within a 50-minute drive of Long Cove Beach. The Links at Bodega Harbour is an 18-hole oceanfront golf course featuring a golf shop, gallery, restaurant, yacht club, live music, and hosts many tournaments. Sonoma County Fairgrounds offers a horse-racing track, jockey club, carnival rides, and several open-air amphitheaters. It hosts many annual events including the Sonoma County Fair, The Harmony Festival, and The Sonoma Valley Harvest Fair – a wine festival with a grape stomping contest. The Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center is dedicated to the works of Charles M. Schulz, creator of Peanuts comic strip, and is home to a three-and-a-half-ton sculpture depicting the evolution of Snoopy – a character in the comic, Schulz’s studio, and three rotating galleries. Another great attraction near Long Cove Beach is Scandia Family Fun Center, an amusement park with many rides including a pirate ship swing, train ride, merry-go-round swings, horse carousel, go-karts, and bumper cars.

If you get hungry, you can drive 30 minutes to many restaurants near Long Cove Beach. The vegetarian-friendly Estero Café serves breakfast, lunch, brunch, happy hour, and dinner items. Another good restaurant near Long Cove Beach is Dinucci's Italian Dinners, an Italian restaurant featuring pizza, pasta, Pesce, pane, and rice dishes.

If you are looking for a hotel near Long Cove Beach, you can drive 40 minutes. The luxurious 4-Star hotel Bodega Bay Lodge is spread across seven acres and overlooks Bodega Bay – and has many amenities including a pool, lounge, spa, sauna, restaurant, fitness center, and hiking tours. The Inn at the Tides is a 3-Star hotel that features a pool, sauna, gym, and an oceanfront Italian restaurant bar. If you are looking for an affordable hotel near Long Cove Beach, the 3-Star Continental Inn offers beautiful rooms and suites.
