Mussel Rock Park Beach(Mussel Rock Park, Golden Gate National Recreation Area)

Located on the south side of the city of Daly City, Mussel Rock Park Beach is situated at the northern end of Mussel Rock Park in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Mussel Rock Park has lots of trails connected between paragliding launch points and there are several boulders, including Mussel Rock, on the shoreline below the park.

Mussel Rock Park Beach is a dog-friendly beach and offers many amenities including restrooms, launch pads for paragliding, trails, and a man-made rock arch. 

There are many fun activities at Mussel Rock Park Beach including hiking, paragliding, hang gliding, birdwatching, beachcombing, and beach walking. 

Getting to Mussel Rock Park Beach can be difficult – Mussel Rock Park’s free parking lot is located at the end of Westline Drive. After parking, you will need to walk north into the park, climb down the trails on the hillside, hike north to the end of a trail above the rocks, and then climb down a short path to the beach.

Named after naturalist John Muir, Muir Woods National Monument is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area and is home to 240 acres of redwood forests.
