Point Loon Beach offers many fun activities including sunbathing, beachcombing, wildlife watching, swimming, tidepooling, horse riding, fishing, surfing, paddleboarding, kitesurfing, bodysurfing, windsurfing, kayaking, canoeing, boating, jet skiing, and surf skiing. If you are planning to ride a horse here, it is important to note that between 1st May to 31st October every year, only 31 horses are allowed on the beach between 8 am to 10 am and between 5 pm to sunset. In addition, between November 1st and April 30th, the beach allows up to 30 horses between 8 am to sunset. We also recommend being careful as pet owners often let their pets roam off-leash on the beach, despite pets not being allowed here, which can create a hazard for horse riders.
