Although Playa Sand Bar Cabo does not have lifeguards or any other public amenities, the Sand Bar restaurant offers sun beds and beach chairs for its customers.  In addition, the restaurant also offers a restroom to its customers.

Playa Sand Bar offers many fun activities including sunbathing, beachcombing, fishing, swimming, paddleboarding, surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, skimboarding, volleyball, boogie boarding, bodysurfing, parasailing, boating, jet-skiing, surf-skiing, water-skiing, wakeboarding, kayaking, canoeing, and wildlife watching.

If you plan to swim or surf here, we recommend being careful because the deep water here is known to have unpredictable rip currents and dangerous waves.  In addition, jellyfish can also be found here during the summer, and these animals can inflict painful stings.

Getting to Playa Sand Bar is easy – this beach is located near the southern end of Calle Cormoranes.

There are free street parking spaces near the beach.  Once you park here, you can walk to The Sand Bar.  You can usually access Playa Sand Bar from the restaurant once you purchase food/drinks here.

The area around this beach also hosts many fun events including fireworks displays, live music concerts, festivals, and fun beach parties.

There are many attractions near Playa Sand Bar.  The Glass Factory Cabo is a glass-making workshop that offers a unique insight into the creation of glass objects. You can know more about this workshop through guided tours and you can also purchase glass objects from here.  Neptune’s Finger is a large and popular offshore rock formation that resembles a giant finger – this rock formation is a popular photography site and the water around it is also popular with scuba divers.  Iglesia de San Lucas is a church that was built in 1730 in Colonial Spanish architecture – you can also observe the interesting local religious practices, which are conducted in Spanish and offer an insight into the local culture.  If you like golf, Cabo San Lucas Country Club has an 18-hole golf course that offers a fun golfing experience, along with amazing views of the Cabo San Lucas shoreline.  If you are looking for another good and affordable attraction near the beach, Plaza Puerto Paraiso is a shopping mall that offers many interesting shopping stores and restaurants, along with a casino, a bowling alley, a video game arcade, and a waterfall.
