Overview
Located in the northwestern portion of the city of Virginia Beach, E-Beach – also sometimes known as Little Creek Beach – is a beach with light brown sand and a few nearby breakwaters. E-Beach is a part of a military installation named Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek–Fort Story.
Amenities
Although E-Beach does not offer lifeguards, the beach and the area near it offers many other amenities including restrooms, showers, picnic areas, barbecue areas, and volleyball courts.
Activities
E-Beach offers many fun activities including sunbathing, swimming, beachcombing, hiking, fishing, volleyball, and wildlife watching. E-Beach is ideal for less-experienced swimmers because the water here usually has manageable waves.
If you are planning to swim near E-Beach, we recommend being careful because the water here is known to have unpredictable rip currents.

E-Beach does not offer wheelchair access to visitors with disabilities.
Parking
Getting to E-Beach can be difficult for the general public – E-Beach is easily accessible from United States Route 60 and there is a parking lot near this beach. However, access to E-Beach and Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek–Fort Story is only open to members of the United States Armed Forces and visitors sponsored by them.

There are many attractions near E-Beach. Pleasure House Point Natural Area is a 118-acre recreational area that has many kinds of habitats including tidal marshes and maritime forests and it offers many fun activities including boating, wildlife watching, hiking, canoeing, and kayaking. You can see many animal species here including many migrant and resident birds, turtles, crabs, oysters, and amphibians. Norfolk Botanical Garden is a 155-acre botanical garden that offers many smaller beautiful themed gardens including a Japanese garden, a hydrangea garden, a children’s garden, and a native plant garden. The garden also has a butterfly house, picnic areas, playground, and a gift shop. Lake Lawson/Lake Smith Natural Area is a 42-acre waterfront preserve that offers many fun activities including kayaking, canoeing, surf-skiing, boating, fishing, wildlife watching, picnicking, and hiking. This park also has many amenities including boat launch ramps, a playground, observation areas, picnic areas, and a bridge. Bayville Farms Park is a recreational park that offers many fun activities including a disc golf course, tennis courts, basketball courts, softball fields, picnic areas, charcoal grills, shuffleboard courts, a playground, volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, walking paths, restrooms, and picnic tables. If you are looking for another attraction near E-Beach, Great Neck Park is a recreational park that is located along the shores of Lynnhaven Bay and it has many amenities including barbecue areas, a gazebo, a pavilion, a playground, volleyball courts, picnic tables, and basketball courts.

If you get hungry, there are many great restaurants near E-Beach. Shorebreak Pizza & Taphouse offers excellent pizzas, along with a variety of other dishes including burgers, salads, chicken wings, tacos, and sandwiches – this restaurant also offers excellent beer. Steinhilber’s is an upscale restaurant that is known for serving excellent steaks and seafood, along with a variety of other seasonal dishes including roast chicken, soup, and cottage pie. Waterman’s Surfside Grille is 30 minutes away by car and is known for serving amazing seafood – this restaurant also serves many other excellent dishes for lunch and dinner including fries, salads, burgers, sandwiches, and pastas, along with delicious cold beverages. Hot Tuna is a restaurant that is known for serving amazing and fresh seafood including ahi tuna, crab soup, crab dips, and seafood tacos and it also serves excellent burgers, salads, and steaks – this restaurant also offers refreshing alcoholic beverages.
