Located at the southern end of the city of Port Aransas, Tony Amos City Beach is a long, wide, and famous beige sand beach.  The beach is positioned on Mustang Island along the Texas coastline and has a beautiful backdrop of many oceanfront buildings, including houses, shops, restaurants, and nearby condominiums, which together provide Instagram-worthy views of the Gulf of Mexico. 

Tony Amos City Beach has many amenities including lifeguards, portable toilets, picnic areas, rental beach chairs and umbrella facilities, trash cans, and nearby food stalls.

Tony Amos City Beach offers many fun activities, including swimming, sunbathing, bird watching, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, surfing, parasailing, beachcombing, kite flying, building castles, picnicking, fishing, and driving.  If you are planning to go into the water, the waves are usually calm, but we recommend being careful, as the water here is known to have unpredictable rip currents.  It is also an ideal spot for windsurfing due to its frequently windy weather.  If you enjoy fishing, you may catch redfish, red snapper, kingfish, flounder, cobia, black drum, seatrout, and marlin.  Depending on the time of year, visitors may spot whales, manatees, and dolphins.  Visitors may also spot many shorebirds and migratory birds.  Dogs are welcome on the beach if they are on a leash, and the beach is open from sunrise until sunset.

Getting to Tony Amos City Beach is easy - the beach is located at Access Road 1 of Port Aransas Beach Road and provides easy access to the beach.  It is important to note that visitors can conveniently park their vehicles directly on the beach.
