Tony Amos City Beach offers many fun activities,
including swimming, sunbathing, bird watching, kayaking, canoeing, paddle
boarding, surfing, parasailing, beachcombing, kite flying, building castles,
picnicking, fishing, and driving. If you
are planning to go into the water, the waves are usually calm, but we recommend
being careful, as the water here is known to have unpredictable rip
currents. It is also an ideal spot for
windsurfing due to its frequently windy weather. If you enjoy fishing, you may catch redfish,
red snapper, kingfish, flounder, cobia, black drum, seatrout, and marlin. Depending on the time of year, visitors may
spot whales, manatees, and dolphins. Visitors
may also spot many shorebirds and migratory birds. Dogs are welcome on the beach if they are on
a leash, and the beach is open from sunrise until sunset.
