Located on the southernmost end of Port Aransas on Harbor Island, Lighthouse Lakes Park is a waterfront park.  The park is spread over 50 acres and is positioned on a peninsula of land that extends into the Aransas Channel.  The park provides Instagram-worthy views of the Aransas Pass Lydia Ann Lighthouse and the Gulf of Mexico.

Lighthouse Lakes Park does not have lifeguards but offers many other amenities, including restrooms, picnic areas, picnic tables, a boat ramp, observation decks, and hiking trails.

Lighthouse Lakes Park offers many fun activities, including sunbathing, beachcombing, kayaking, canoeing, boating, picnicking, fishing, and watching wildlife.  If you are planning to go into the water, the waves are usually calm as it is protected by breakwaters.  The water near the beach is shallow, which is ideal for kayaks, canoes, and small boats.  This park offers access to the famous Lighthouse Lakes Paddling Trail, the very first Paddling Trail of Texas, which meanders through a black mangrove estuary, into sloughs, and back lakes near the Lighthouse on North Harbor Island.  If you enjoy fishing, anglers may catch redfish, red snapper, kingfish, flounder, cobia, black drum, seatrout, and marlin. In addition, visitors can also book dolphin cruises, sunset charters, deep-sea fishing tours, and other adventure tours.  To make reservations, visit online.  The park has observation towers that allow visitors to spot many shorebirds and migratory birds.   Depending on the time of year, visitors may spot whales, manatees, and dolphins.   Dogs are welcome in the park if they are on a leash, and it is open from sunrise until sunset.
