There is also a sewage treatment plant near the beach and the discharge from this plant makes the water here have a foul smell. If you like tidepooling, you can explore interesting tidepools here at low tide.
If you like camping, this beach also has a campground and it offers a fun oceanfront camping experience – if you want to camp here, you can visit the City and County of Honolulu’s camping reservations website for more information regarding the campsite amenities, the campsite charges, and the rules for booking a campsite permit.
Lualualei Beach is ideal for visitors looking for a quieter experience because it sees fewer visitors as compared to other beaches of Oahu.
