Located along the Waianae shoreline, Tracks Beach Park is a beach that has light brown sand, many nearby trees, and a sloping incline. This beach is situated near a power station operated by the Hawaiian Electric Company. The beach is named after the old railway tracks present nearby - these tracks were used to transport sugar canes to and from the sugar mills along the north-western Oahu shoreline. These train tracks were decommissioned after World War Two. Although Tracks Beach Park does not have lifeguards, the beach and the area around it have a few other amenities including picnic tables, restrooms, a nearby grassy area, and showers. Leashed dogs are allowed in the portions of Tracks Beach Park that are below the high tide line. Getting to Tracks Beach is easy - the beach is located along Hawaii Route 93 (which is a part of Farrington Highway). A free parking lot is also available near the beach. We recommend avoiding leaving any valuables in your car while parking it in Tracks Beach Park, since burglary attempts are known to occur here. The beach is closed between 10 pm to 5 am.
