North Beach offers many
fun activities including sunbathing, beachcombing, fishing, wildlife watching,
hiking, swimming, surfing, paddleboarding, kitesurfing, windsurfing,
paddleboarding, boating, kayaking, canoeing, jet-skiing, surf-skiing,
water-skiing, wakeboarding, and parasailing.
North Beach is popular
with surfers because the water here offers fun surfing waves – the area near
North Beach’s rocky jetties is a particularly great surfing site. North Beach is ideal for beginner surfers,
paddleboarders, and canoers because the water here has manageable
waves. If you are planning to swim, kayak, canoe, paddleboard, or
surf near North Beach, we recommend being careful because the water here is
known to have dangerous rip currents. In addition, the water here is also
occasionally known to have high levels of microbial contamination. Water activities are prohibited near some of
the portions near North Beach and some portions of this beach are also
solely reserved for swimmers. It is also
important to note that water activities are only allowed within 50 yards of
North Beach’s shoreline.

birdwatching, you can see many kinds of birds around North Beach including
pelicans, willets, and gulls. North Beach is a great fishing site and you
can catch many kinds of fish here. In addition, this beach is also a
great beachcombing site and you can collect many kinds of shells here.
