Located adjacent to the Courtney Campbell Causeway, Ben T Davis Beach - also known as Ben T. Davis Beach and Ben T Davis Memorial Beach - is a narrow white-sand beach with nearby coastal vegetation. This beach is named after Captain Ben T. Davis, who was a member of the United States Armed Forces - Davis was also responsible for the construction of the Courtney Campbell Causeway, which was initially known as the Davis Causeway. Lifeguards are present on Ben T Davis Beach between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

The beach also has many other amenities including volleyball courts, a hiking and biking trail, restrooms, showers, concession stands, picnic areas with grills, and water sport equipment rentals. Ben T Davis Beach allows dogs on leash.

Currently the zoo is home to over 1,000 animals. This zoo also offers interactive and fun animal encounters and many educational programs. The zoo has been voted as the "Best Kids Attraction" in Tampa Magazine’s Best of South Tampa 2021 awards. In addition, it has also been repeatedly awarded TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence. Glazer Children’s Museum is spread over 53,000 square feet. This museum offers around 170 fun and interactive exhibits for children which help in developing their cognitive abilities.
