Moorings Beach Private Park does not have lifeguards or any other public amenities, so please plan accordingly.

Moorings Beach Private Park offers many fun activities including sunbathing, beachcombing, wildlife watching, fishing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, surf skiing, jet-skiing, water-skiing, parasailing, paddleboarding, wakeboarding, and boating.

Moorings Beach Private Park is ideal for beginner swimmers, kayakers, canoers, and paddleboarders because the water here is mostly calm and clear.  If you are planning to swim, kayak, canoe, or paddleboard near Moorings Beach Private Park, we recommend being careful because this water can have unpredictable rip currents.  In addition, the water here can also have a type of algal bloom known as red tides – exposure to this algae’s toxins can cause irritation and damage to eyes and lungs.

Moorings Beach Private Park does not offer wheelchair access to visitors with disabilities.

Getting to Moorings Beach Private Park is difficult because the main entrance and parking lot for this beach – that are located near 2121 Gulf Shore Boulevard North – are only reserved for members of The Moorings Property Owners Association.

As an alternate access option, there is a nearby public beach entrance at 1977 Gulf Shore Boulevard North that leads to an unnamed beach area – once you reach this beach entrance, you need to walk approximately 250 meters north along the shoreline to reach Moorings Beach Private Park.

As another alternate  access option, you can also visit this beach by walking north along the shoreline through another separate nearby beach namedLowdermilk Beach– this beach is located at 1301 Gulf Shore Boulevard North and it also has a paid parking lot.  Once you have reached Lowdermilk Beach, you need to walk around a kilometer north along the shoreline to reach Moorings Beach Private Park. 

If you like taking pictures with amazing views, Moorings Beach Private Park offers amazing views of the Gulf of Mexico and the southwestern Floridian shoreline, particularly during evenings. 

There are many attractions near Moorings Beach Private Park.  Lowdermilk Park is a popular recreational park that offers many amenities including volleyball courts, a kids’ playground, picnic tables, benches, restrooms, and showers – this park also has a beach named Lowdermilk Beach.  Fleischmann Park is a recreational park that has many amenities including racquetball courts, baseball/softball fields, basketball courts, pickleball courts, sand volleyball courts, football fields, a playground, a water-based play area, picnic areas, restrooms, and a community center.  Another great attraction is Conservancy of Southwest Florida’sNature Center which offers many interesting exhibits on southwestern Florida’s ecology and biodiversity.  This museum offers many fun activities including guided tours of the center, wildlife watching boat tours along the Gordon River, and fun educational programs for kids.  If you are looking for another attraction near Moorings Beach Private Park, Naples Depot Museum is a museum that is set within a train station from the 1920s has interesting historical exhibits about railways and other modes of transportation.  This museum highlights the crucial role of transportation technology in South-western Florida’s development.
