Located in the city of Fort Lauderdale, Fort Lauderdale Dog Beach is a small, narrow, and very beautiful beach situated in front of Sunrise Bay.  Fort Lauderdale Dog Beach is surrounded by palm trees – and is extremely very popular among wildlife lovers and bird watchers. 

Also known as Canine Beach, Fort Lauderdale Dog Beach is a perfect spot for swimming, snorkeling, fishing, and beachcombing.  Fort Lauderdale Dog Beach is a family-friendly beach as it is a two-minute drive from Birch Park where you will find many families picnicking.  Fort Lauderdale Dog Beach welcomes dogs on weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. during summer and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. during winter. There is an annual fee of $30/per dog and $45/per dog for residents and non-residents of Fort Lauderdale respectively. Dog owners can also get a one-weekend permit for $7/per dog. Fort Lauderdale Dog Beach offers many amenities including restrooms, showers, picnic tables, and a grass park.
