Located in the city of Dunedin, Honeymoon Dog Beach is a half-mile-long and wide beach situated at the southern end of Honeymoon Island that faces the Gulf of Mexico. Honeymoon Island has a four-mile-long shoreline and is filled with many water sports enthusiasts including swimmers, kayakers, surfers, and divers. Honeymoon Island has paved walking and biking trails as well as a fishing spot where you can catch trout, flounder, snapper, and mackerel. Also known as Honeymoon Island Dog Beach, Honeymoon Dog Beach is situated in front of Hurricane Pass and is backed by Pelican Cove. Honeymoon Dog Beach has beautiful white-light grey sand and its shore are covered by lots of seashells making it an awesome destination for beachcombing. As the name suggests, Honeymoon Dog Beach welcomes dogs on a six-foot leash on the beach, trails, as well as in the water.
