Moss Beach Juliana Access does not have lifeguards or any other amenities except a few nearby benches and a walking trail, so please plan accordingly.

Moss Beach Juliana Access offers many fun activities including sunbathing, beachcombing, fishing, picnicking, swimming, hiking, paddleboarding, boating, jet-skiing, kayaking, canoeing, surf-skiing, and wildlife watching.
If you are planning to swim, kayak, canoe, or paddleboard here, we recommend being careful because the water here is known to have unpredictable rip currents and dangerous waves. In addition, the rocky shoreline around the beach can also cause injuries.
During low tide, you can explore an interesting sea cave that is located near the northern end of this beach. In addition, you can also explore the vibrant blufftop coastal landscape above this beach through a Moss Beach trail.

Parking
Getting to Moss Beach Juliana Access is easy – from Cabrillo Highway/Pacific Coast Highway, you need to turn towards Vallemar Street. From Vallemar Street, you need to take the first left turn to reach Julianna Avenue. Moss Beach Juliana Access is located near Julianna Avenue’s intersection with Wienke Way and there are a few free street parking spaces along Julianna Avenue. Once you park here, you then need to carefully walk on a footpath that passes down along steep and eroding rocky bluff sides to reach the beach.
We recommend visiting this beach during low tide because during high tide this beach may be significantly submerged and inaccessible. We also recommend checking Moss Beach weather reports before visiting here because the weather can sometimes get stormy.

There are many attractions near Moss Beach Juliana Access. Pillar Point Bluff is a 220-acre oceanfront blufftop recreational area that offers many fun activities including hiking, biking, picnicking, wildlife watching, and horse riding – this recreational area offers amazing views of the Northern California shoreline and the Pacific Ocean. The blufftop area has a couple of other amenities including a kiosk and a restroom. Moss Beach Park is a recreational park that offers a unique shipwreck-themed playground. In addition, this park also has picnic areas, a basketball court, and drinking water facilities. Fitzgerald Marine Reserve – also known as J.V Fitzgerald Marine Reserve – is especially famous for having tidepools that have a vibrant intertidal biodiversity – the reserve also has a visitor center that has interesting and informative exhibits. In addition, this reserve also has an interesting coastal landscape that includes marshes and cypress and eucalyptus forests. Montara State Beach is a state-protected beach area that offers many fun activities including sunbathing, beachcombing, picnicking, wildlife watching, surfing for expert surfers, and fishing – there is also another state-managed mountainous recreational area near this beach named the McNee Ranch that is known for having a vibrant plant life. McNee Ranch also offers a fun wildlife watching experience. If you are looking for another attraction near the beach, Rancho Corral de Tierra is a 4,000-acre national park that offers many fun activities including hiking and wildlife watching. This national park offers a unique insight into the local biodiversity and it offers amazing Instagram-worthy views of the San Mateo County landscape.
