Overview

Located in the small town of June Lake, Gull Lake Marina has a very small, narrow, and beige-colored sand beach situated on the shores of Gull Lake.  Gull Lake is 64 acres in size and the smallest of the four lakes that are on the June Lake Loop.  The lake is considered the most social lake of these four lakes and is very popular among families as it is next to a kid's playground situated inside Gull Lake Park.  Also known as Gull Lake Marina Beach, Gull Lake Marina has earned the reputation of Home of the Monster Trout because the lake is famous for trout fishing.  Although Gull Lake Marina does not have lifeguards, it offers many amenities including restrooms, picnic areas, boat ramps, water sport equipment rentals, a grass park, and a tackle shop that provides snacks, tackle, clothing options, gifts, and the well-known 10-cent cups of coffee.There are many fun activities at Gull Lake Marina including fishing, boating, kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, picnicking, and photography.  If you are looking for additional activities, you can do camping at the paid Gull Lake Campground that is a three-minute drive away on the south side of the beach.  Getting to Gull Lake Marina Beach is very easy – there is a free parking area at 47 Granite Avenue that provides easy access to the beach.

Attractions

If you are looking for attractions near Gull Lake Marina, you can drive 33 minutes to Minaret Vista, an incredible vista point that is a great destination to click Instagram-worthy pictures, stargaze, and skiing or snowshoeing during winters.Ansel Adams Wilderness is a national forest that contains 349 miles of hiking trails, alpine meadows, fellfields, glacial lakes, and Jeffrey pine trees.  Mammoth Creek Park is located next to Mammoth Creek and is an awesome picnicking destination with playgrounds, shade trees, and offers beautiful views of Mammoth Mountain.  Another great attraction near Gull Lake Marina is Mammoth Mountain that is a very popular skiing and snowboarding spot.

If you get hungry, there are many restaurants within a two-minute drive of Gull Lake Marina.  Tiger Bar & Café is an iconic restaurant that was opened in 1932 and serves a variety of classic American dishes like burgers, sandwiches, French fries, pork chops, and drinks in a wooden-cabin décor.  The Mexican restaurant La Parrilla Grill & Tacos has a nice menu including nachos, tacos, quesadillas, guacamole, burritos, salads, and desserts.  June Pie Pizza Co. is a pizza restaurant featuring pizza, pie, salads, and brownies.  Another good restaurant near Gull Lake Marina is Epic Café that offers panini sandwiches, wraps, pastries, carrot cakes, and beverages – and has outdoor seating.
