Overview
Located in the town of Isla Vista, Camino Pescadero Beach Access is a mile-long and two miles-wide beach situated on the southwest side of Santa Barbara Airport. Camino Pescadero Beach Access is a part of Camino Pescadero Park and is backed by a bluff with many houses. Also known as Peskies and Pesci’s, Camino Pescadero Beach Access is mostly filled with many students of the University of California, Santa Barbara, that is a five-minute drive away. Camino Pescadero Beach Access welcomes dogs on leash and offers many amenities, including showers, picnic tables, a grass park, and benches overlooking the ocean with views of the Channel Islands.
Activities
There are a couple of fun activities at Camino Pescadero Beach Access including photography, picnicking, and sunbathing. Getting to Camino Pescadero Beach Access is very easy – Camino Pescadero Park is situated at the end of Camino Pescadero Road at Del Playa Drive and there is a long steep stairwell that provides easy access to the beach. There is free street parking available along Del Playa Drive, but it is advisable to get here early as the parking spots are limited.

If you are looking for attractions near Camino Pescadero Beach Access, you can drive six minutes to the Art, Design & Architecture Museum that is also known as the University Art Museum and features many architectural drawing, historic photographs, writing, scrapbooks, three-dimensional objects in the Architecture and Design Collection, and over 8,500 original works of the museum itself. Goleta Monarch Butterfly Grove at Ellwood Mesa is a nature preserve center and home to thousands of monarch butterflies that visitors can see starting from late October to February. If you like golfing, Sandpiper Golf Club is a waterfront 18-hole golf course that has been rated among the top 100 public golf courses in the US and the top 25 public golf courses in California. Another great golf course near Camino Pescadero Beach Access is Twin Lakes Golf Course, a 9-hole golf course with a casual restaurant and an onsite shop.

If you get hungry, there are many restaurants within a 10-minute walk of Camino Pescadero Beach Access. The Mexican restaurant Super Cuca features tacos, nachos, quesadillas, Pico guacamole, salads, burritos, and desserts. If you like Japanese food, Sushiya Express offers sushi, unagi, soba, udon, and onigiri at very affordable prices. Another good restaurant near Camino Pescadero Beach Access is Naan Stop, an Indian restaurant serving paneer tikka masala, Palak paneer, mutter paneer, aloo vindaloo, dal makhani, and mixed vegetables.
