Located in the gated community of Pebble Beach, Stillwater Cove Beach is a narrow beach with white sand. This beach is situated within a rocky cove below an oceanfront blufftop area (which also houses Pebble Beach’s The Beach & Tennis Club and a golf course). There is also a pier present in Stillwater Cove Beach. Stillwater Cove Beach does not have lifeguards. However, the area around this beach has restrooms. Dogs are not allowed on the beach.

Stillwater Cove Beach offers many fun activities including swimming, beachcombing, sunbathing, wildlife watching, fishing, scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, boating, canoeing, and paddleboarding. The water’s calm nature makes Stillwater Cove Beach ideal for beginning swimmers, surfers, kayakers, and paddleboarders. In addition, the water’s clarity also makes it ideal for snorkelers and scuba divers. Scuba divers often go into the water near this beach in order to explore its vibrant biodiversity and interesting underwater rock formations. The water near the beach also has kelp beds. You can view many kinds of fish in the water near the beach including sculpins and gobies. In addition, you can also view juvenile rockfish and lingcod here and on rare occasions even view a wolf eel. You can also view a large variety of marine invertebrates in the water near this beach including mollusks, crabs, cowries, nudibranchs, and anemones. However, it is important to note that only ten scuba divers are allowed into the water near Stillwater Cove Beach per day in order to preserve the underwater environment here. If you are planning to dive here, you can call (831) 625-8507 via phone to enquire more about diving reservations. You can also call this number to inquire about the use of the pier present in Stillwater Cove Beach, which has a boat hoist and is available for use from May to September. However, it is important to note that only ten boats are allowed to be launched from the pier per day. If you like kayaking, Adventures By The Sea offers interesting guided kayak tours in the water around Stillwater Cove. In addition, Adventures By The Sea also offers stand-up paddleboards for rent. Parking

From this parking lot, you can easily walk to the access stairs for Stillwater Cove Beach. We recommend visiting this beach early as parking spaces near this beach often fill up easily. It is important to note that you need to pay an access fee to enter Pebble Beach and drive to Stillwater Cove Beach.

There are many attractions near Stillwater Cove Beach. Pebble Beach Golf Links offers a challenging and fun golf course. In addition, the golf course also hosts the annual AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am golf tournament. The Lone Cypress is an approximately 250-years old Monterey cypress tree which overlooks the rugged Monterey County shoreline. This tree is immensely popular among photographers and is often claimed to be one of the most photographed trees in Northern America. However, it is important to note that using this tree’s photograph for commercial or promotional uses is currently legally forbidden by the Pebble Beach Company as it is trademarked as the company’s logo. However, photographs of this tree are permitted for personal and artistic purposes.
