The preserve also has a forest of Monterey Pines, which are an extremely rare variety of pine trees. Friends of the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve is a non-profit organization that also organizes monthly docent-led tours on the preserve which offer interesting information on the local flora, fauna, geography, and history.
