Criccieth Castle Beach is located west of Criccieth Castle itself, a 13th-century castle turned museum. The castle separates the eastern and western parts of Criccieth Beach and the Castle Beach, also called Criccieth West End, features the same amenities and nearby shops as Criccieth East, but it is just a bit farther than its eastern counterpart. Guests can visit the castle, swim in the ocean, or walk to Criccieth to visit its small shops and restaurants. Criccieth Beach, also known as Criccieth East, is the main beach servicing the town of Criccieth. The main beach lies northeast of Criccieth Castle, a 13th-century fortress that has now been transformed into a museum. Visitors can enjoy the small town surrounding Criccieth East, complete with mom-and-pop restaurants and shops, as well as several hotels.
