Often left in the shadows of Horseshoe Bay Beach, this hidden gem is well worth your visit. Strap your chairs to your back, pack your towels in your bag, and make the hike through Church Bay Beach Park all the way down to the waterfront. Just be careful at the hike’s end: a rickety wooden set of stairs will lie between you and the beach.
Often considered the best snorkeling destination in Bermuda, be certain to bring along your own gear since rentals are only available at a local concession stand from May to October and are available in limited supply. Swim out to the surrounding reefs and enjoy the angelfish, pufferfish, and parrotfish shimmering in the sun’s rays. You may even catch a glimpse of a squid slipping and sliding amongst the coral. If snorkeling isn’t your thing, the modest waves allow for beachgoers to enjoy other water sports like kayaking and paddle boarding. Still, without any options for food, grueling summer temperatures, and a rocky shoreline, Church Bay Beach is not the best beach spot to relax at all day.
