Warwick Bay Bermuda, is ideal for beginner swimmers, kayakers, snorkelers, and paddleboarders because the water here usually offers gentle waves.  In addition, snorkelers also visit this beach to explore the nearby coral reefs and vibrant marine biodiversity.  If you plan to swim, kayak, paddleboard, or canoe here, we recommend being careful because the water here is known to have unpredictable rip currents.  In addition, the water here is also deep at some places.  

If you like taking pictures with beautiful views, Warwick Long Bay offers amazing Instagram-worthy views of the Bermuda shoreline and the Caribbean Sea.  Visitors also sometimes explore the large rocks that are located at the beach’s western end.  However, we recommend being careful while climbing the rocks here because they are sharp and slippery and can cause injuries.  This beach is ideal for visitors looking for a quieter beach experience because it sees fewer visitors as compared to other nearby Bermuda beaches – the eastern part of the beach is particularly quiet.

Getting to Warwick Long Bay is easy – from a major local road named Middle Road, you need to turn towards another road named South Road.  You can easily access the two Warwick Long Bay Beach public access points through South Road – these access points have free parking lots nearby and are easily identifiable through signboards.  You can easily walk to the beach once you park at the parking lots.  If you are walking to the beach from the western parking lot, please note that you need to access the beach through a staircase.

We recommend visiting this beach early during summer weekends because it sometimes gets crowded. 

This beach is one of the longest in Bermuda.  It also has some pink sand—this sand originates from a mixture of crushed coral, crushed shells, and the remains of an organism named foraminifera. These objects are usually naturally weathered down and deposited on the beach.

There are many attractions near Warwick Long Bay.  You can check the Warwick Long Bay Bermuda Map to see Gibbs Hill Lighthouse – this historic 117-feet-tall lighthouse was built in 1844 and it was one of the world’s first cast iron lighthouses.  It offers amazing views of the South Shore coastline and the Caribbean Sea.  Astwood Park is a recreational park that has a nearby beach named Astwood Cove Beach.  This park also has many amenities including restrooms, grassy recreational areas, and picnic areas – it also offers amazing views of the Southampton shoreline and the Caribbean Sea.  Bermuda Botanical Gardens is a 36-acre botanical garden that was established in 1898 and it has a variety of interesting plant species including many flowering plants, palms, and succulent plants – it also has a sensory garden and the botanical garden’s premises also have a museum named Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art.  Royal Naval Dockyard is a 25-minute-drive away and it is one of Bermuda’s most popular attractions – this historic dockyard was built in the early 19th century and it offers many interesting shops, restaurants, and museums.  Scaur Hill Fort is a fortress that was built in the 1870s – this historic site also has a park with gardens and it also offers benches and walking trails.  If you are looking for another attraction near the beach, Bermuda Aquarium, Museum & Zoo is one of the world’s oldest aquariums and it was established in 1926 and it is home to many kinds of animals including seals, sea turtles, sharks, 300 bird species, and tortoises.
