Seven Mile Beach(Negril Beach)

Seven Mile Beach offers many amenities, including lifeguards, changing rooms, restrooms, picnic areas, beach vendors, and rental facilities for beach chairs, water sports equipment, sunloungers, showers, and beach umbrellas.

Seven Mile Beach offers many fun activities, including sunbathing, beachcombing, fishing, swimming, paddleboarding, boating, snorkeling, scuba diving, water skiing, jet skiing, parasailing, kayaking, canoeing, surf skiing, and wildlife watching. 

This beach in Negril is ideal for less-experienced swimmers because the shallow, crystal-clear, turquoise waters are usually calm. The water also offers an amazing scuba diving and Seven Mile Beach snorkeling experience because of its vibrant biodiversity. Coral reefs near the beach are home to many kinds of fish.

Getting to Seven Mile Beach is easy – this beach is located along a road named Norman Manley Boulevard and it is easily accessible from Negril’s central part.  There are a few free street parking spaces and small free parking lots nearby.  In addition, you can also park at the parking lots of some of the restaurants near the beach for free if you are dining there.   We recommend avoiding leaving valuables in your parked car because burglaries are common here. 

If you want to travel by ferry, you can get a ferry to this beach from the nearby city of Montego Bay and the nearby town of Ocho Rios.  There are many local private organizations that offer catamaran tours of this beach – you can find the details about these organizations through the internet.

We recommend being careful while visiting this beach with family because some visitors often smoke marijuana here.

This beach was earlier known to be a safe haven for local pirates. 

There are many attractions near Seven Mile Beach.  Kool Runnings Water Park is an amusement park in Negril, Jamaica, that offers many fun rides and things to do, including waterslides, paintball, a go-kart area, canoeing, and a lazy river ride – it also offers a juice bar, a sports bar, and a restaurant.  Barney's Flower and Hummingbird Garden Jamaica is a privately owned garden that is a 20-minute-drive away and offers a variety of interesting plants, including bromeliads, firecrackers, and ginger lilies – this garden is known to have many hummingbirds, along with a wide variety of other birds and animals.  Negril Hills Golf Club has an 18-hole golf course that offers a fun and challenging golf experience and has a restaurant.  Blue Hole Mineral Spring is a mineral spring that is 30 minutes away by car that offers turquoise water and it is a popular site for swimming and wading.  If you are looking for another attraction near the beach, Jamwest Motorsports and Adventure Park is also a 30-minute-drive away and offers a variety of fun things to do and explore including ATV tours, ziplines, a petting zoo, an aviary, a circuit track that offers sports cars, a push cart, and a boardwalk that offers insights into the local culture and natural history.
