If you get hungry, there are many great restaurants and beach bars near Seven Mile Beach.  Coccoloba Bar offers a variety of excellent Mexican-style dishes including tacos, tostadas, Mexican-style seafood, and lamb – it also hosts live music performances.  Luca Restaurant is an Italian restaurant that offers a variety of excellent dishes including pastas, lamb, sandwiches, chicken piccata, and Italian-style seafood – it also offers amazing sushi.  Peppers Bar & Grill is famous for serving excellent barbecued dishes including its signature jerk chicken, steaks, burgers, seafood and ribs.  Rackam’s is a waterfront restaurant that serves a variety of excellent dishes including seafood, soups, salads, chicken dishes, pasta, curry, and hot dogs.  If you are looking for another good and affordable nearby restaurant, Chicken ! Chicken ! is known for serving delicious chicken dishes including Caribbean-style roast chicken, chicken sandwiches, soups, and salads.

If you are looking for a hotel near Seven Mile Beach, there are many great nearby hotels in the Cayman Islands.  The 5-Star The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman offers many amenities including multiple pools, a hot tub, a gym ,a spa,multiple restaurants and bars, an art gallery, a convenience store, a gift shop, boat rental facilities, tennis courts, and a golf course.  The 4-Star The Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa offers many amenities including a pool, a spa, a private beach, a fitness center, a convenience store, a gift shop, watercraft rental facilities, and multiple restaurants and bars.  Another upscale hotel is the 4-Star Marriott Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort that offers many amenities including a spa, bike rental facilities, a hot tub, a salon, a convenience store, a gift shop, a fitness center, bike rental facilities, a pool, and multiple restaurants.  A more affordable hotel is the 3-Star Sunshine Suites Resort that offers many amenities including a restaurant, a pool, gardens, a sundeck, a marketplace, car rental facilities, a kids’ club, and beachfront cabana rental facilities – it also offers access to a few facilities of another nearby hotel for a fee including a spa and a fitness center.  Another great moderately priced hotel is the Hampton by Hilton Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Hotel.  If you are looking for another good and affordable nearby hotel, the 3-Star The Grand Caymanian Resort offers many amenities including a pool, a sundeck, a restaurant, a pier, pickleball courts, a gym, and beach chair rentals.

Although Seven Mile Beach does not have lifeguards, the beach and the area around it have a few other amenities, including showers, restrooms, a playground, benches, picnic areas, beach volleyball courts, and rental facilities for beach chairs, water sports equipment, beach umbrellas, and cabanas.  Please note that most of the amenities here are around the beach’s southern and central parts.  In addition, one of the restrooms is near 2245 West Bay Road.

Seven Mile Beach offers many fun activities including sunbathing, beachcombing, fishing, swimming, paddleboarding, snorkeling, horse riding, boating, volleyball, surfing, jet-skiing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, water-skiing, parasailing, kayaking, canoeing, surf-skiing, and wildlife watching.  

This beach is ideal for beginner swimmers, snorkelers, and paddleboarders because the clear water usually has gentle waves.  In addition, it also sometimes offers fun waves for surfers, kitesurfers, and windsurfers.  In addition, snorkelers also visit this beach to explore its vibrant nearby marine biodiversity.  Some good snorkelling sites here include the reefs near the Grand Cayman Marriott Resort, the reef near Governor’s Beach, and the reef adjacent to a nearby hotel named Kimpton Seafire Resort and Spa.  If you plan to swim, snorkel, or paddleboard here, we recommend being careful because the water here can sometimes have unpredictable rip currents and dangerous waves.

 In addition to water activities, this beach is also popular for sunbathing, and you can spend the day resting near the calm turquoise waters and coral sands.  If you like taking Seven Mile Beach Photos with excellent views, Seven Mile Beach offers amazing Instagram-worthy views of the Caribbean Sea and the Grand Cayman shoreline. 

Seven Mile Beach has a mobility mat for visitors with disabilities.  In addition, there is also a disabled friendly ramp nearby, along with disabled friendly restrooms and showers.  This mobility mat is in the beach’s southern part.

Getting to Seven Mile Beach is easy – this beach is located along a local road named West Beach Road and it is easily accessible from the local capital of George Town.  The main entrance and free parking lot for this beach are near 32 Seafire Way.  In addition to this entrance, multiple other entrances are also available for this beach – one is near 1259 West Bay Road, along with a free parking lot.  Another public entrance is near the local cemetery near 2245 West Bay Road and a few nearby free street parking spaces.

In addition, if you are staying at one of the nearby hotels or eating at one of the nearby restaurants, you can park your car in the hotel’s or restaurant’s parking lots and then walk to this beach. 

We recommend visiting this beach early during the summer because this beach can get significantly crowded.  Please also note that while some parts of Seven Mile Beach are often labeled by local hotels and restaurants as private beaches, all parts of this beach are always open to the public.

Despite its name – Seven Mile Beach – the actual length of this beach is around six miles and it is still the longest beach in the Cayman Islands.  In addition, this beach also hosts many fun events – one of the events celebrated here is the annual Flowers Sea Swim.

There are many attractions near Seven Mile Beach.  The nearby town of Camana Bay offers many interesting shopping stores and restaurants – it also has a playground and it offers many fun events including lawn games, movie screenings, and a farmer’s market.  Hell,Grand Cayman is a geological site that has many small black coloured limestone rock outcroppings - these rock formations have been created over millions of years by exposure to acid rain and carbonate-consuming microorganisms.  This geological area offers amazing Instagram-worthy photos and there is also a gift shop nearby.  National Gallery of the Cayman Islands offers interesting artworks created by Caymanian and International artists – it displays exhibitions on evolution of art in the Cayman Islands.  In addition, it also has a sculpture garden.  Cayman Islands National Museum has many interesting exhibitions on Caymanian history.  It also has interesting exhibitions on local natural history, along with a gift shop – it also hosts a fun mango festival.  If you are looking for another attraction near the beach, Cayman Turtle Center is a conservation center that focuses on conservation and rehabilitation of sea turtles – in addition to sea turtles, this center is also home to many aquatic and terrestrial animals including sharks, butterflies, birds, and caymans.  This center also offers interactive activities with animals and it also has a swimming pool.
