Praia I Focu Beach

Located in the city of Vibo Valentia in the Calabria region of southern Italy, Praia I Focu Beach - also known as Spiaggia Praia I Focu - is a small, beige-sand beach with many rocky portions.  It is considered one of the ten most beautiful beaches in Italy.  The beach is positioned below the high, striking cliffs and is adjacent to the well-known Spiaggia di Ficara.  The beach has a beautiful background of lush Mediterranean vegetation, including olive trees and cacti along the Tyrrhenian Sea, offering incredible views.  Praia Focu Beach is promoted as an ecotourism destination, encouraging sustainable tourism practices that preserve its natural environment and marine life.

If you enjoy tidepooling, you might see a variety of marine creatures, which makes it an interesting location for nature lovers.  The beach is known for its crystal-clear waters, unique rock formations, and spectacular views, making it a perfect spot for photography.  It is an ideal spot for visitors looking for a serene beach experience and to witness its natural beauty and unique rocky formations contributing to the interesting geological landscape.  Visitors can enjoy a Mediterranean climate, with warm summers and mild winters.  Dogs are not allowed on the beach, which is open from sunrise until sunset.

Getting to Praia I Focu Beach is difficult - you can access the beach through a steep and rocky trail located near Località Belvedere, 89866 Capo Vaticano, Province of Vibo Valentia, Italy.  

Alternatively, visitors can book a boat tour that departs from the main island of Tropea to Capo Vaticano to access this beach.

Praia I Focu in Capo Vaticano is referred to as the beach of the "four seasons" since it is accessible year-round due to its pleasant sea temperature and moderate climate.  Also, it is a popular spot for watching sunsets over the Mediterranean Sea and allowing visitors to relax and unwind in a tranquil tropical setting.
