Palolem Beach(Canacona Beach)

Located in Canacona in the southern part of Goa, India, Palolem Beach - also known as Canacona Beach - is a renowned one-mile-long, crescent-shaped white sand beach with rocks protruding into the ocean on either end.  The beach is positioned along the Arabian Sea and has a beautiful backdrop of coconut palm trees and colorful wooden shacks, providing spectacular views of Canacona Island, which is known for its resident monkeys.  There is a small river, popularly known as the Palolem River, located at the northern end of Palolem Beach that drains into the Arabian Sea.  These backwaters wind through lush mangroves, offer a tranquil escape into nature, and provide a unique insight into the region's rich ecosystem.
