Half Moon Lake Campground is situated on the northeast shore of Half Moon Lake in the Bridger-Teton National Forest, Wyoming. It offers 17 campsites nestled among aspen and willow trees, providing a serene and natural environment. The campground is open from mid-May to mid-September and features amenities like vault toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings. However, it lacks potable water, and cell service is limited. The area is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, offering activities such as boating, fishing, hiking, and wildlife viewing.
The lake itself is a glacial creation surrounded by the Wind River Mountains, offering stunning views and diverse flora. Visitors can enjoy water sports directly from the beach within the campground. Two miles down the gravel road, there's an excellent hiking trail suitable for all skill levels.
The nearby town of Pinedale provides additional amenities and attractions, including the Museum of the Mountain Man and the annual Green River Rendezvous.
