Point Beach State Forest is a stunning natural area located in Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, along the shores of Lake Michigan. It spans 2,900 acres, featuring rolling dunes and mixed woodlands. Established in 1937, the forest is home to the Point Beach Ridges State Natural Area, a National Natural Landmark, which showcases the lake's ancient shorelines over the past 8,000 years. The Rawley Point Lighthouse, the tallest in Wisconsin at 111 feet, is a notable attraction within the forest. Visitors can enjoy camping, hiking, biking, skiing, and snowmobile trails, as well as swimming and fishing in Lake Michigan.
The campground offers over 120 wooded sites suitable for both tent and RV campers, with about 70 sites featuring electrical hookups. Amenities include picnic tables, fire pits, water faucets, flush and vault toilets, and shower facilities. Pets are allowed in designated areas but must be leashed.
