Rattlesnake Lake Recreation Area is a picturesque day-use destination located near North Bend, Washington, about 35 miles east of Seattle. It features a 111-acre lake surrounded by beautiful scenery and offers picnic areas, hiking trails, and access to miles of State Park and King County trails. The area is managed by Seattle Public Utilities as a buffer to the protected Cedar River Municipal Watershed, which supplies a significant portion of Seattle's drinking water. Rattlesnake Lake itself is spring-fed by the nearby Cedar River and is not used for drinking water. The recreation area is open year-round from dawn to dusk, offering a serene escape for outdoor enthusiasts.
