There are many attractions near Palmetto Park Beach. Swantner Park is a waterfront recreational park that is a 17-minute drive away and offers many fun activities including jogging, fishing, biking, volleyball, and picnicking. This park also offers amazing views of the Corpus Christi Bay at sunset. The Texas State Aquariumis one of the largest aquariums in the United States and it exhibits wildlife from the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea – this aquarium is home to many aquatic and non-aquatic animals including birds, sharks, otters, alligators, and dolphins. This aquarium also has a 4D theater and a splash park. Hans & Pat Suter Wildlife Refuge is a bayfront refuge that offers an interesting insight into local coastal biodiversity – this refuge has picnic tables, observation areas, an 800-feet-long boardwalk, and a mile-long nature trail and this preserve also has many habitats including woodlands, marshes, and mudflats. Jumping Worldis an amusement park that offers many fun things to do and explore including a ropes course, a dodgeball, mechanical rodeo, and go-karts. Jumping World also has pool tables and an arcade. If you are looking for another attraction near the beach, South Texas Botanical Gardens & Nature Center is a 182-acre botanical garden that offers many interesting sections including a rose garden, an orchid conservatory, a hummingbird garden, and a desert plant garden. This garden is also home to many birds and butterflies and it also has nature trails, a treehouse, and a boardwalk

If you get hungry, there are many great restaurants near Palmetto Park Beach. Republic of Texas Bar & Grill is an upscale restaurant that offers many delicious gourmet dishes including steaks, pork chops, seafood, lamb, soups, and salads. Saltwater Grill is a restaurant that is a 20-minute-drive away and is known for serving excellent seafood dishes, along with a variety of other dishes including pastas, chicken dishes, sandwiches, burgers, and salads. Harrison's Landing offers many amazing dishes including sandwiches, burgers, seafood, soups, salads, pastas, and nachos. Black Diamond Oyster Bar is known for serving excellent seafood including oysters, tuna nachos, and shrimp sandwich and it also serves many excellent bar foods and snacks. If you are looking for another good and affordable nearby restaurant, Andy’s Country Kitchen – also called Andy’s Kitchen – offers excellent dishes for breakfast and lunch including Mexican dishes, seafood, waffles, Southern fried chicken, and eggs.
