Amenities
Diamond Beach offers lifeguards between Memorial Day and Labor Day. In addition to lifeguards, the beach has a few other amenities including restrooms, benches, and rental facilities for beach chairs and watersports equipment. Please note that the restrooms and beach equipment rental facilities here are managed by local beach clubs and resorts and you need to be a member or a guest of these beach clubs and resorts to use them.
Dogs are not permitted here between 9 am and 8 pm.

Diamond Beach offers many fun activities including sunbathing, beachcombing, fishing, volleyball, swimming, boating, surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, boogie boarding, bodysurfing, water-skiing, paddleboarding, parasailing, wakeboarding, surf-skiing, kayaking, canoeing, and wildlife watching.
Diamond Beach is ideal for less-experienced swimmers because the clear and mostly shallow water here usually has gentle waves. If you are planning to swim, kayak, canoe, or paddleboard here, we recommend being careful because the water here is known to have unpredictable rip currents and dangerous waves.
The beach clubs here also host fun beach parties – one Diamond Beach club that offers live music events here is the Club at Diamond Beach.

Parking
Getting to Diamond Beach is easy – from New Jersey Route 47/Wildwood Boulevard, you need to turn towards Pacific Avenue. There are multiple roads near Pacific Avenue that lead to the beach including Jefferson Avenue, Rochester Avenue, Memphis Avenue, Dune Drive, North Station Avenue, South Station Avenue, and Raleigh Avenue.
There are free and metered parking spaces near the beach.
It is important to note that some parts of Diamond Beach are owned and managed by local beach clubs and resorts – only the guests of these beach clubs and resorts are allowed in these portions. Please also note that some portions of this beach may be prohibited to visitors because they are seasonally used as nesting sites by local shorebirds.
Fun Fact
This beach and the community received this name – Diamond Beach – during the 1950s. This beach and the community received this name because of the quartz pebbles found here – these pebbles are sometimes cut, polished, and then sold by local novelty shops under the name “Cape May Diamonds.”
Attractions
There are many attractions near Diamond Beach within a 20-minute-drive. Centennial Park is a recreational park that offers many amenities including a grassy recreational area, park benches, and an amphitheater – this park also hosts fun concerts in summers. Cape May Point State Park has a popular lighthouse named the Cape May Lighthouse and it also has many other things to explore including a World War Two-era gun battery, a beach named Cape May Point State Park Beach, and a historic fire control tower. This state park has many habitats including forests, freshwater meadows, and sand dunes – it also offers many fun activities including fishing, wildlife watching, beachcombing, and hiking. Wildwoods Boardwalk is a popular boardwalk that offers many fun things to explore including shops, restaurants, water parks, amusement parks, piers, and a large 156-feet-tall ferris wheel – this boardwalk offers amazing views of the Atlantic Ocean and the New Jersey shoreline and you can also see fireworks from here during Fridays in summers.
Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum is set in a World War Two aircraft facility and it offers interesting vintage aircraft, aviation-related exhibits, and interactive displays – this museum offers interesting exhibits on local history. If you are looking for another attraction near the beach, Seaport Aquarium is an aquarium that is home to many aquatic and semi-aquatic animals including alligators, eels, sharks, and fish. In addition, it also has terrestrial animals including snakes and monkeys and it also has a touch tank.

The Star Beach Bar offers many amazing dishes including burgers, pizzas, fries, tacos, and salads – it also offers live music performances. Dogtooth Bar and Grill offers a variety of amazing dishes for lunch and dinner including pastas, seafood, steaks, pork chops, salads, and soup – this restaurant also offers live music performances.
