Located in Elmwood Charter Township, Power Island is a beautiful beach surrounded by crystal-clear blue waters of West Grand Traverse Bay. The beach stretches about a mile and has soft, white sand perfect for beach volleyball, sunbathing, and building sandcastles.

Parking at Power Island is available at Bower's Harbor Park, where visitors can take a shuttle boat to the island. The parking lot at Bower's Harbor Park is free of charge, but there is a fee for the shuttle boat.
Fun facts about Power Island include that it is actually an island in West Grand Traverse Bay and can only be accessed by boat or shuttle. The island is also home to a historic lighthouse, which dates back to the early 1900s and still stands today.
