Outlet Campground at Priest Lake is nestled on the southwest shore of Priest Lake, offering breathtaking views of the Selkirk Mountains. Located in the Idaho Panhandle National Forests, it provides a serene environment for campers to enjoy activities like fishing, boating, kayaking, and wildlife viewing. The campground features three loops, including two upper view sections and one lower lake-side section, with fully paved roadways and parking spurs. It offers a mix of RV and tent sites, some of which are walk-in, and amenities include a swimming beach, accessible flush toilets, and bearproof garbage cans.
The area is rich in wildlife, with frequent sightings of moose, black bears, wolves, deer, elk, and eagles. The nearby Kalispell boat launch is about 7.5 miles north of the campground, providing easy access for boating enthusiasts.
Priest Lake itself is one of the largest and most beautiful lakes in the Idaho Panhandle, known for its clear water and depth of up to 300 feet. It is famous for being the site where the world's largest Mackinaw trout was caught in 1963.
