The Lake House Dock and Beach is located on North Idaho Centennial Trail, a paved trail that runs along 24 miles of waterfront through Coeur d’Alene, starting from Higgens Point on the northeast side of beautiful Lake Coeur d’Alene, and continuing all the way to the Idaho/Washington state border.
This location is a wheelchair-accessible trail and is a popular place to bike, jog, skate, or walk. The trail also has plenty of rest areas, scenic views, and interpretative signs. As a bonus, the stretch of the trail near Lake Coeur d’Alene is one of the best places to spot bald eagles in early winter. How’s that for an attraction! But The Lake House Dock and Beach is the attraction you certainly won’t want to miss. Situated along the Centennial Trail, this is a great place to take a break from exercising along the trail and enjoy the view of the peaceful lake and majestic shoreline. The view from here is vast and breathtaking, showing the wooded coastline, the land sloping up from the water, and, of course, all the activity on Lake Coeur d’Alene.
While there are no food or lodging offerings here, you will find numerous eateries just off the trail, so you are never far from a tasty treat or a lovely place to spend the night.
