D.T. Fleming Beach Park(Honokahua Bay)

Located along the northern shoreline of the island of Maui, D.T. Fleming Beach Park - also known as Fleming Beach Park and D.T.Fleming Park - is a grassy recreational park that has a large crescent-shaped beach with light brown sand. This beach is known as Fleming Beach and Honokahua Beach. The beach in D.T. Fleming Beach Park is situated between two lava rock outcroppings along the shores of Honokahua Bay in the town of Kapalua. Ironwood trees and palm trees are present near the beach in D.T. Fleming Beach Park. A small reef is present in the water near the eastern end of the beach. D.T. Fleming Beach Park offers many fun activities including sunbathing, beachcombing, wildlife watching, hiking, picnicking, fishing, swimming, surfing skimboarding, bodysurfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, parasailing, bodyboarding, paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing, jet-skiing, surf-skiing, water-skiing, boating, and snorkeling. The water near D.T. Fleming Beach Park offers excellent surfing waves, especially during winter. This makes it popular among surfers and bodysurfers. Snorkelers also enter the water near this beach to explore its vibrant underwater biodiversity. Depending on the time of the year, you can view many kinds of animals in the water here including sea turtles and dolphins. However, if you are planning to go into the water near D.T. Fleming Beach Park is easy - the parking lots for the beach are easily accessible from Honoapiilani Highway (also known as Hawaii Route 30) via the Lower Honoapiilani Road. However, we recommend visiting this beach early during weekends as it tends to get crowded quickly during this time.
