Overview
Located in the northern part of the Oahu shoreline, Pahipahialua Beach - also called Pahipahi’alua Beach and Pahipahi‘ālua Beach - is a beach with light brown sand with many nearby trees and some rocky portions. The beach is west facing and has a curved shape and its name means “double-edged cutting instrument” in Hawaiian - the beach’s name may be a possible reference to its curved-blade-like shape. The water near Pahipahialua Beach has a small offshore islet.
Amenities
Pahipahialua Beach does not have lifeguards or any other amenities, so plan accordingly. However, dogs on leashes are allowed on the beach.

Pahipahialua Beach offers many fun activities including sunbathing, beachcombing, wildlife watching, fishing, swimming, surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, paddle boarding, bodyboarding, kayaking, canoeing, surf-skiing, jet skiing, boating, and wakeboarding. Parking
Getting to Pahipahialua Beach is easy - the beaches are located near the end of Pahipahialua Street. Pahipahialua Street is easily accessible from Hawaii Route 83, which is a part of Kamehameha Highway. We recommend visiting this beach during low tide as during high tide this beach can get significantly submerged.

There are many attractions near Pahipahialua Beach. Waimea Valley is a historical nature park that was earlier the site of one of the most prosperous Hawaiian agricultural communities. Waimea Valley has many historical sites dating back to the Ancient Hawaiian era including stone terraces, a heiau (a Hawaiian temple), and hale iwi (a traditional burial site) - the valley also has a vibrant botanical collection consisting of around 5,000 taxa of plants including plants from Polynesia, Madagascar, Seychelles, and the Ogasawara Islands. Waimea Valley also has a 45-feet tall waterfall named Waimea Falls and frequently hosts interesting cultural programs. The Ehukai Pillbox Trail (also called the Ehukai Pillbox Hike and Sunset Pillbox Hike) is a hiking trail that offers a unique insight into the vibrant Hawaiian coastal landscape, along with Instagram-worthy views of the Oahu shoreline. This trail offers access to multiple World war Two-era concrete bunkers which are also called “Pillboxes.” CLIMB WORKS Keana Farms has a functional farm that you can explore via a thrilling zip-lining session. CLIMB WORKS Keana Farms’ guided tours also include rappelling and thrilling ATV rides and visitors can also cross sky bridges and sample fresh local fruits as a part of these tours - these tours also offer visitors a unique insight into Oahu’s vibrant landscape, biodiversity, and history. If you are looking for another good and affordable restaurant near Pahipahialua Beach, Panda’s Thai Food Truck is a food truck that offers amazing Thai dishes including Thai curries, pad thai, and tom yum soup. Ted’s Bakery is another modestly priced bakery that offers amazing baked desserts. In addition, the restaurant also serves amazing dishes for lunch and breakfast including burgers, sandwiches, and seafood, chicken, and barbecued rib platters.
