Overview
Located on the northern side of the island of Saint Thomas in the United States Virgin Islands, Magens Bay - also known as Magens Bay Beach – is a three-quarter-mile-long white sand crescent-shaped beach that is recognized as the most popular, most visited, and most photographed beach on the island. The beach is situated in the middle of a deep bay, which has Tropaco Point to the west and the Peterborg Peninsula on its western side as its arms, which together provide Instagram-worthy views. Magens Bay is part of the protected Magens Bay Park, which features a coconut grove, a mangrove, an arboretum, wetlands, and three bath houses spread over 68 acres overseen by the Magens Bay Authority.

If you are planning to go into the water, it is nestled in a sheltered bay, making it a perfect spot to go swimming, as the waves are usually calm. The water near the beach is shallow, which is ideal for canoes, kayaks, and small boats. Visitors can also rent boats, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and other beach equipment from a nearby kiosk. If you enjoy snorkeling, the beach offers amazing opportunities to explore the underwater world. Hikers can enjoy the one and a half-mile nature hiking trail present on the left side of the beach, which meanders through the Coconut Grove and the Magens Bay Watershed Preserve and offers unique insights into the local biodiversity. Visitors can also spot fishing boats anchored by locals in the eastern part of the bay. The beach hosts many interesting events and festivals that attract a large influx of visitors. Dogs are not allowed here, and the beach is open from sunrise until sunset.

Skyride to Paradise Point is a gondola ride that offers breathtaking views of Saint Thomas Island, downtown Charlotte Amalie, and the vast Caribbean Sea from 700 feet above the island. Tree Limin' Extreme Zipline St. Thomas is nestled in the lush tropical rain forest on St. Peter Mountain, which features eight different cables and nine adrenaline-pumping zipline rides under the supervision of experts.
