Located in the village of Branscombe, Branscombe Beach – also called Branscombe Mouth Beach – is a popular pebbly beach with nearby oceanfront cliffs in the southwestern English district of East Devon. This beach is a part of a larger coastal area named the Jurassic Coast, which has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In addition, this beach is also part of a protected area named the East Devon National Landscape, which was also formerly called “East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.” A stream named Branscombe Stream sometimes flows through this beach – once it passes the beach, it flows into the Lyme Bay.
The Times listed this beach as one of the 50 best beaches in the United Kingdom. In addition, a local news website named Devon Times also listed this beach in its article “All 106 stunning beaches in Devon listed in full.”
