Beer Beach offers many fun activities including sunbathing, beachcombing, swimming, paddleboarding, surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, parasailing, boating, surf-skiing, jet-skiing, snorkeling, water-skiing, kayaking, canoeing, and wildlife watching.
This beach is ideal for slightly less-experienced swimmers because the clear water here is known to usually have gentle waves. In addition, surfers also visit this beach because the water here offers good surfing waves, especially in winter – you can check the Beer Beach Webcam online to see the fun waves here. If you like fishing, you can also book fun trips on fishing boats here – some of the concessions that offer mackerel fishing trips here include Sambe E515 and Orca Charters.
If you are planning to swim, kayak, snorkel, or surf here, we recommend being careful because the deep water here is known to have unpredictable rip currents. There is a small exhibition center near the beach named the Fine Foundation Centre that offers interesting exhibitions on the local natural and cultural history – this centre also hosts nature walks in summers. If you like taking pictures with stunning coastal scenery, Beer Beach offers amazing Instagram-worthy views of the East Devon County shoreline and the English Channel. If you like hiking, a regional hiking trail named the South West Coast Path also passes near the beach – this path is around 630 miles long and it provides a strenuous and fun hiking experience around Southwest England.
In addition, the picturesque village of Beer also hosts many fun events throughout the year including the Beer Regatta that is held in August and the Beer Rhythm & Blues Festival that is held in October.
