La Mar Bella Beach

Located in the city of Barcelona, La Mar Bella Beach is a small, wide, and beige colored beach which is also known as Playa de La Mar Bella.  La Mar Bella is one of the most popular beaches in the neighborhood of La Barceloneta.  La Barceloneta hosted the 1992 Olympics Games which led to a radical transformation and growth in the tourism of this neighborhood and its beaches. La Mar Bella Beach has been awarded the Blue Flag for its cleanliness and is backed by a promenade that has many restaurants, cafés, and bars. 

La Mar Bella Beach offers many amenities including lifeguards, restrooms, showers, water sport equipment rentals, wooden walkways, a playground, a volleyball court, a basketball hoop, a skateboard rink, and a ping-pong table, and a designated nudist area.  

There are many fun activities at La Mar Bella Beach including swimming, fishing, boating, kayaking, sailing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, sunbathing, and beach walking. Please note that it is not advisable to swim here if a lifeguard is not present. 

Getting to La Mar Bella Beach is very easy – there is a paid parking lot at C/ de Bilbao, 29, 08005 Barcelona and after parking, you will need to walk six minutes southeast to get to the beach.
