Cala De Bocs(Cala de Bocs Petit, Cala de Bocs Gros)

Located in the northern part of the nearby island of S’Espalmador, Cala de Bocs is a beach with light brown sand.  This beach is a part of a natural park named Ses Salines d’Eivissa i Formentera Natural Park.  This beach is divided into two parts by a rocky headland – the smaller northern part of this beach is called Cala de Bocs Petit, while the larger southern part is called Cala de Bocs Gros. 

This beach is a nude beach for clothing-optional visitors.

Cala de Bocs does not offer lifeguards or any other amenities, so please plan accordingly.

Cala de Bocs offers many fun activities including sunbathing, beachcombing, swimming, surf-skiing, jet-skiing, snorkeling, scuba diving, water-skiing, paddleboarding, kitesurfing, windsurfing, boating, wakeboarding, parasailing, kayaking, canoeing, and wildlife watching.  

This beach is ideal for less-experienced swimmers because the clear water here offers moderate waves.  In addition, scuba divers also visit this beach to explore its vibrant marine biodiversity.  If you are planning to swim, kayak, or snorkel at Cala a Boca, we recommend being careful because the water can have unpredictable rip currents.  This beach is ideal for visitors looking for a quieter beach experience because it sees fewer visitors as compared to other nearby beaches.

Cala de Bocs does not offer wheelchair access to visitors with disabilities.

Getting to Cala de Bocs is difficult because the only way to reach this beach is by boat – you can get a ferry to this beach from the nearby islands of Ibiza and Formentera.  If you are traveling from Formentera, you can get a ferry to the beach from the port of La Savina.  If you are traveling from Ibiza, you can also get a ferry to this beach from the port of Eivissa. There are many attractions near Cala de Bocs in S’Espalmador and the nearby island of Formentera.  Platja de S’ Alga is a large curve-shaped beach that offers many fun activities including swimming, kayaking, canoeing, surf-skiing, beachcombing, and boating – this 800-meters-long beach is known for having calm water and a quiet ambiance.  La Torre de Sa Guardiola is a historic tower that was built around 1750 as a coastal fortification – this tower offers a unique insight into the history of Formentera and its surrounding islands.  Platja de Ses Illetes is another popular beach in Formentera that offers many fun activities including windsurfing, kitesurfing, parasailing, volleyball, and snorkeling - this beach is known for having a small amount of pink sand and the water here is also calm.  La Savina is a port and a village that offers excellent Instagram-worthy views of the Formentera shoreline and the Mediterranean Sea.  In addition, this port also offers many fun shops and restaurants and it also hosts a flea market.  If you are looking for another attraction near the beach, Esglesia de Sant Francesc Xavier de Formentera is a church that was built in the early 18th century and it has interesting features including thick walls and doors with reinforcements – this church offers insights into local history.
