The stunning, golden beach of Cala de Roche is a destination for beachgoers looking to escape big city life and unwind. Cala Roche’s an incredibly beautiful beach, with crystal clear blue waters that kiss the coastline, dramatic, rock formations, and hills with native vegetation. Geographically, a 19th-century coastal defense tower called Torre del Puerco marks the northernmost point of Roche, and its southern point is Cabo Roche, a series of red cliffs which provides many coves. Interesting rock formations can also be found on the beach.
At Cala Roche, visitors can be seen soaking up the radiant Spanish sun, catching waves, and swimming. Roche also allows individuals to play beach sports on the sand. However, be careful with the waves as it can get extremely strong sometimes - especially for young children. Refreshments and sweets can be bought by sellers passing by with trolleys. However, there are no nearby food spots so remember to pack your own lunches before you head out.
The main way to access the beach is on foot or by car. Parking is available on the road that leads to the beach. Beachgoers that spend the night by Cala de Roche stay at the ILUNION Calas de Conil, a luxurious 4-star hotel that is steps away from the beach.
Fun fact: Great surfing conditions exist between October and May!
