Playa Cruz del Mar, or Playa del Muelle, is a lively beach located in Chipiona, Andalusia, Spain. It boasts a length of approximately 1 km and a width of 50 meters, featuring fine golden sand and calm, transparent waters. The beach is part of the Costa de la Luz region, known for its excellent water quality. It offers a bustling atmosphere with plenty of amenities like restrooms, showers, umbrella and sunbed rentals, making it suitable for all types of visitors. Notable features include 'corrales de pesca,' or fishing corrals, which have become part of the city's tradition and history. Despite its tranquility, the beach can get crowded, especially in summer, making early arrival advisable.
Its proximity to parking facilities and the marina makes it easily accessible by car or on foot.
The beach is also steeped in history, with the monument La Cruz del Mar dedicated to the inhabitants' actions following significant events like the Lisbon earthquake,
although this cross existed before the quake.
