Overview
Located on the coast of Andalusia in the province of Cádiz, the beautiful Playa de Zahora is unspoiled and tranquil and is a great place for those looking to get away from crowds. The beach offers fine golden sand, great views of the Atlantic Ocean, and other natural scenery including dunes, lagoons, and rock formations. There is affordable parking at nearby parking lots that are a two to eight-minute walk to the beach. Accessing the beach is easy, as there are many paths and walkways to use.
Once you're on the beach, you'll find amazing views and plenty of space to lay back and relax. There are few amenities at Playa de Zahora which adds to the appeal of this preserved beach. Visitors love to walk along the shore here, and there are many rock formations along the beach for people to explore. The beach is especially amazing during sunset when both locals and tourists gather to appreciate the breathtaking scenery. Horseback riding tours are also a great way to experience the beach. The waters here are generally calm and good for swimming, but be careful as some parts of the shore can be rocky. On windy days, the beach is popular for activities like surfing, kitesurfing, and windsurfing.
If you're hungry, the village of Zahora has many restaurants for you to enjoy. Restaurante Boba Zahora is located on the beach and serves delicious Mediterranean food with amazing views of the ocean. If you're in the mood for fine dining, we recommend Arohaz Restaurante which serves upscale Spanish food in a refined setting.
If you're looking for a place to stay, walk one minute from the beach to Hacienda Sajorami which offers a variety of fully serviced apartments. The apartments have a common outdoor garden with barbecues and a children's play area, making it an ideal place to stay for families. Another great option is Casara Uno, a set of seven small, charming homes that are located just steps from Playa de Zahora. Each home has beautiful modern designs and patios with great views, and the common garden area is a fantastic place to relax and has picnic tables, a barbecue, outdoor showers, and fruit trees.
