Jaz Beach(Blue Beach, Budva Plaza, Jaz Beach)

If you get hungry, there are many great restaurants and beach bars near Jaz Beach.  Restaurant Poseidon offers a variety of excellent dishes including sandwiches, steak, seafood, pasta, pizza, and fries.  The other great nearby restaurants are located around the nearby town of Budva.  Restaurant Tiffany is known for serving delicious local Montenegrin dishes with International culinary influences including kebabs, goulash, and grilled fish.  La Mia Pasta is known for serving excellent pasta including bolognese, fettuccine alfredo, and carbonara.  El Rey – also called El Rey Snack Bar – offers amazing ocean views and it also serves many delicious dishes including risotto, grilled chicken, pasta, eggs, and soup.  If you are looking for another good and affordable nearby restaurant, L&M offers excellent local Montenegrin dishes including Montenegrin schnitzel, cevapi, fish soup, and pasta.

If you are looking for a hotel near Jaz Beach, there are many great nearby options.  The 5-Star Hotel Budva offers many amenities including a fitness center, a spa, a pool, a restaurant, a pharmacy, and a bar.  Another great upscale hotel is the 4-Star Avala Resort & Villas that offers many amenities including a gym, a spa, multiple pools, a salon, and multiple restaurants and bars.  The 4-Star Hotel Poseidon is another upscale hotel that offers many amenities including a restaurant, loaner facilities for beach umbrellas and sun loungers, and gardens.  A more affordable hotel is the 3-Star Hotel Opera Jaz that offers many amenities including a pool, a courtyard, a restaurant, billiards, table tennis, and a trampoline.  If you are looking for another good and affordable nearby hotel, Vila Sveti Nikola offers a patio and outdoor sitting areas – it is also located conveniently close to some of the major landmarks around Budva.

Jaz Beach Montenegro has many amenities including lifeguards, restrooms, changing rooms, showers, benches, a walkway, concession stands, boardwalks, aquatic play areas, nearby watersports equipment rental facilities, and a concert stage.  In addition, there are beach clubs here that offer beach chairs and beach umbrellas on rent – one of the beach clubs here that offer rentals is Blue Beach Jaz Budva.

Jaz Beach offers many fun activities including sunbathing, beachcombing, fishing, swimming, snorkeling, paddleboarding, boating, scuba diving, jet-skiing, surf-skiing, water-tubing, water-skiing, parasailing, wakeboarding, kayaking, canoeing, and wildlife watching. 

The water here is ideal for beginner swimmers because it usually offers gentle waves.  In addition, snorkelers also visit the beach’s rocky parts to explore the vibrant marine biodiversity nearby.  If you plan to swim, snorkel, or paddleboard here, we recommend being careful because the water here is known to have unpredictable rip currents and dangerous waves.  In addition, please note that some parts of the water here are restricted only to swimmers.  If you like taking pictures with excellent views, Jaz Beach offers amazing Instagram-worthy views of the Montenegrin shoreline and the Adriatic Sea, especially at sunset.  If you like birdwatching, you can see many large water birds at a river mouth near the beach’s western end.

Jaz Beach does not offer wheelchair access to visitors with disabilities, so please plan accordingly.

Getting to Jaz Beach is easy – from the town of Budva, you need to drive along a coastal road that is a part of European Routes E65 and E80.  From this road, you need to turn left towards another road that will eventually lead you to Jaz Beach.  There is a large free parking lot near the beach, and you can easily walk to the beach after parking here.  

There are street signs near the beach that offer driving directions to visitors. 

As an alternate transport option, you can also take a bus to this beach – the bus to Jaz Beach costs around € 2 per person.  This bus makes around four trips to the beach every day – the bus stop for this bus is located near a restaurant named Perla’s Cafe, which is located in Budva’s Old Town area.  

We recommend visiting this beach early because it can get crowded quickly, especially during the summer.

Jaz Beach used to host a famous music festival named the Sea Dance Festival between 2014 and 2017.  It also continues to host many other fun events including the On/Off Festival and many interesting musical concerts – many famous musicians have performed at this beach including Madonna, the Rolling Stones, and Lenny Kravitz.

There are many attractions near Jaz Beach within a 15-minute drive.  Aquapark "Budva" is a waterpark that offers fun water rides including many waterslides and pools – in addition, it also offers multiple restaurants and bars, along with a souvenir shop.  Karting Centar F1 Jaz Beach Budva is a go-kart facility that offers a fun and thrilling go-kart experience.  The Church of St. John – also called The Church of Sveti Ivan – is a beautiful church that was mainly built between the 13th and the 15th centuries – this church has beautiful artworks including a 12th century icon named the Madonna of Budva and a mosaic artwork by artist Ivo Dulcic.  Museum of the Town of Budva – also called the Budva Museum – is a museum that displays antiques, some of which date back all the way back to 500 BC.  The museum’s collection includes ancient jewellery, mosaics, glassware, and a helmet dating back to 5th century BC.  If you are looking for another attraction near the beach, Budva’s Old Town area has many amazing old buildings, most of which are from the Medieval Era – this area also has interesting shops and restaurants and it also hosts many interesting cultural events.
