Located in the southern end of Patrick’s Point State Park, Patrick’s Point State Park - Palmer’s Point - also officially known as Cannonball Beach and Palmer’s Point Beach - is a rocky beach with some sandy parts. This beach is situated below steep oceanfront bluffs and has cool weather. Patrick’s Point State Park - Palmer’s Point does not have lifeguards. However, the area around this beach has picnic tables and barbeque spots. Dogs are not allowed on the beach.

Located to the north of the city of Trinidad, Trinidad State Beach is a state-protected beach with brown sand and multiple rock formations. This beach is situated below oceanfront bluffs and is composed of two adjoining coves - the main portion of Trinidad State Beach is in the southern cove, while the northern cove is much smaller and is called College Cove. Trinidad State Beach has rocky headlands near both of its ends – the Elk Head is present near the northern end of this state beach, while Trinidad Head is present near the southern end of this state beach. Many interesting offshore rock formations are present near Trinidad State Beach - some of these rock formations are also a part of the California Coastal National Monument. While Trinidad State Beach does not have lifeguards, the area around this state beach has picnic tables and restrooms. Dogs on leash are allowed in Trinidad State Beach.

Located to the north of Trinidad, College Cove - also known as College Cove Beach - is a secluded beach with brown sand and interesting rock formations. This beach is situated below forested oceanfront bluffs and is the northern part of a larger state-protected beach named Trinidad State Beach. A large offshore rock formation named the Pewetole Island is present near this beach. In addition, there is a rocky archway near this beach named "The Portal" which separates College Cove Beach from the main portion of Trinidad State Beach. During rainy weather, a waterfall named "College Cove Falls" can also be seen near this beach. As an interesting fact, portions of the 2001 Jim Carrey film The Majestic were shot on this beach. College Cove does not have lifeguards. However, the area around this beach has picnic tables and restrooms. Dogs on leash are allowed on the beach. 

Located a few miles south of Trinidad, Houda Point Beach - also known as Houda Beach and Camel Rock Beach - is a scenic beach with brown sand. The beach is situated below the northern end of a blufftop headland named Houda Point. There are many interesting offshore rock formations near this beach including the Camel Rock (officially known as Little River Rock) which sometimes looks like a two-humped camel and another larger unnamed rock formation which is covered in vegetation. In addition, another distant rock formation named Pilot Rock is also visible from this beach. While Houda Point Beach does not have lifeguards, the area around this beach has hiking trails and picnic tables. Dogs are allowed on Houda Point Beach without a leash. 

Located to the south of the city of Trinidad, Baker Beach - also known as Baker’s - is a remote yet beautiful beach with dark brown sand and some rock formations.  This beach is located below forested oceanfront bluffs, and there are also some offshore sea-stacks near this beach.  Please note that this beach should not be confused with another separate beach named Baker Beach – this beach is located in San Francisco.

Located along the Humboldt County shoreline, Martin Creek Beach - also known as Secret Beach - is an extremely remote yet beautiful beach with brown sand and rocky portions. This beach is situated below oceanfront bluffs. There are many interesting rock formations around the beach including sea stacks and a rocky archway. Some of the larger rock formations near Martin Creek Beach also have official names including the White Rock (which is present near the northern part of the beach) and the Green Rock (which is present near the southern part of the beach). Martin Creek Beach does not have lifeguards or any other amenities, so plan your trip carefully. Dogs are allowed on the beach.

Located along Trinidad Bay, Trinidad Head Beach - also known as Pier Beach - is a popular beach with light brown sand and some rocky parts. This beach is situated below oceanfront bluffs and is divided into two portions by a rock formation named Little Head. A cement pier named Trinidad Pier is also present on this beach. As an interesting fact, this pier is one of the northernmost oceanfront piers in the state of California. A large rocky headland named Trinidad Head is present near this beach - this headland is a part of the California Coastal National Monument. While Trinidad Head Beach does not have lifeguards, the area around this beach has many amenities including hiking trails, restrooms, and boat launching facilities. Dogs are allowed on the beach without a leash.
